Alana, Co-Founder & Editor-in-Chief of KidsRead2Kids

Alana has a BA in Creative Writing with a concentration in Education from Oberlin College. At Oberlin, she was a Writing Associate at the Writing Center, where she tutored all subjects at every stage of essay writing, and a WITS (Writing in the Schools) Scholar, where she taught intensive poetry workshops at Langston Middle School. She was also an Assistant Teacher at the MAD Factory, instructing classes in improv, theater, and self-expression.

Through KidsRead2Kids, she has conducted classes and workshops for students ages six to twenty-five! As a writer, she is the Editor-in-Chief of KidsRead2Kids Magazine and has reported for the Oberlin Review and SEEN Magazine.

She has been a guest presenter at the International Dyslexia Association Annual Conference, Region 10 (Dallas area) 26th Annual Summer Dyslexia Institute, and the NY Pioneer Library System. She is an Ambassador for the National Center on Improving Literacy KidZone!
